The project
Atlas Generator is a generator of atlas. It allows you to create and generate maps and atlas of maps, quickly and easily. It plots a serie of geographical points into a serie of maps, by choosing a reference parameter.

How to use Atlas Generator
1. To generate an atlas, you need a dataset of geographical points properly formatted.
List of supported formats:
- shapefile : this format provides the best results. You must upload the shapefile and its extensions (.shp + .dbf + .prj + .shx)
- excel : with xls, you must have a column latitude, longitude and know the projection (crs). The column name must be on the first row. Be careful with the format and special characters in the data!
- csv : with csv, you need to have a latitude, longitude column and know the projection (crs). The column name must be on the first row. Be careful with the format and special characters in the data!
2.Go to the map page with your dataset properly formatted and upload it into the dedicated dropzone.
3. Then, fill up the form You need to choose the reference field (and latitude, longitude, crs if you use .xlsx or .csv).
The reference field will create a map for each value (= for each "type" desired).
ex. for an atlas of species, the reference parameter is the species name : the atlas will have a map for each species.
Your atlas is ready to be generated !Just customize the style with the available tools.Don't wait anymore to start!
